File stuttering after file transfer

I am having this issue where files work great on my computer after I download them but when I transfer them to my server, the files are stuttering both visually and with audio. My normal setup goes:

  1. Download file on my mac
  2. Connect to server via finder “Connect to server option” on my Mac
  3. Transfer files over the home network to my Plex Server which is a Windows 11 i7-11850H with an A2000 with a USB 3.0 external 4TB drive
  4. Sync Plex library and watch show

No matter what device I watch it on, get the video stuttering. BUT… If I physically connect my mac to the 4TB drive that holds all my media and transfer the file, and then plug the 4TB drive back into my Plex, no video stuttering.

So it seems that something is breaking during the OTA file transfer. I am at a loss on what to do and don’t want to have to manually connect my drive to my mac every single time as it is a pain to do.

Seems to be related to moving files off the Mac. You might want to ping mosesh and see if he ever found a long term solution

If I understand what he said correctly he started copy/paste instead of cut/paste and that did the trick. Not a great solution but better than disconnecting cables I guess
