Filenaming for DVD Order vs Air Order (TV) / Star Wars Rebels

Hey everyone,

I know the issues with Star Wars Rebels and TheTVDb has been addressed a few times in the past, but it seems they have more or less rectified the issue by creating the Alternate Episode Order for the show that lists the S1 and S2 double-episode premieres as the premieres rather than Specials. My question is: how are people going about naming their files so the episodes line up correctly? I’ve named the episodes in accordance with the air order (Spark of Rebellion and Siege of Lothal both being in S0) but when I switch my Plex to order it in DVD Order, all of the episode ordering gets whacky and incorrect. Some get doubled up, some end up being unidentified. I’ve tried renaming the files to then work within the DVD Order, but then those renamed episodes don’t show up.

Anybody figured out the way to set this up? I’d rather not have these Premieres living in the Specials folder.

Thanks!

Giving this a bump.

Ensure your “Episode ordering” is set to DVD order:

And files are names as follows:

Season 1: https://thetvdb.com/series/star-wars-rebels/seasons/dvd/1
Season 2: https://thetvdb.com/series/star-wars-rebels/seasons/dvd/2

This works correctly if your files are DVD/Bluray rips.

Hi,

Thanks for the help. They are rips but this ordering just ends up throwing everything out of whack…

Season 1

Season 2

Move the entire Rebels folder out from your TV path, then run a library scan and make sure it’s not in Plex anymore. Move it back the Rebels folder and scan again and see if that fixes it.

Would you suggest deleting it from the filesystem and re-adding as well or not necessary?

I did remove the first two seasons in question out of the TV path, did a scan, moved back, and re-scanned and got the aforementioned result.
