I’ve tried everything to get the first episode of the first series to show up in Plex, but it just won’t have it. The first episode should be Sparks of Rebellion, but Plex list Droids in Distress as the first instead. Someone suggested that the first episode is a special so I renamed (using FileBot) and placed in a specials folder, but still won’t show.
The files are listed thus:
Season 00
Star Wars Rebels - 0xSpecial 9 - Spark of Rebellion.mv
Season 01
Star Wars Rebels - 1x01 - Droids in Distress.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x02 - Fighter Flight.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x03 - Rise of the Old Masters.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x04 - Breaking Ranks.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x05 - Out of Darkness.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x06 - Empire Day.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x07 - Gathering Forces.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x08 - Path of the Jedi.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x09 - Idiot’s Array.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x10 - Vision of Hope.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x11 - Call to Action.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x12 - Rebel Resolve.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 1x13 - Fire Across the Galaxy.mv
Season 02
Star Wars Rebels - 2x01 - The Siege of Lothal.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 2x02 - The Lost Commanders.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 2x03 - Relics of the Old Republic.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 2x04 - Always Two There Are.mkv
Star Wars Rebels - 2x05 - Brothers of the Broken Horn.mkv
All show, expect the Sparks episode. Anyone have any ideas?
Ohh the Star Wars Rebels problems go on. So this is what it does now:
Star Wars Rebels - 2x02 - The Lost Commanders.mkv is ommited then it subsequently misnames all following episodes the wrong name, even though the files are all properly named via filenames such as the example I posted. For god sakes get TVMaze done.
Same issue here, I cannot even get plex to acknowledge the S02 special “Seige of Lothar,” exists at all. I am currently naming that particular episode as such:
Star Wars Rebels - 2x01 - The Seige of Lothal
Whenever I attempt to fix mismatch through selecting any of the three different choices I get these outcomes: TVDB - which is wrong on this TV show, specifically X episode is incorrectly numbered as Y episode instead, and does not list the special at all. The movie database - which makes the situation worse and displays episodes I do not even have. This leaves me with the personal media database option, which at least displays the special. Now the fun part: How do I name in the individual episode edit mode, an episode to be both episodes 1&2? I currently see them as such: Episode 01, Episode 03, Episode 04, Episode 05, etc., etc. I ultimately want them to be displayed as Episode 01-02 (or something similar), Episode 03, Episode 04, etc., etc.
I’ve been fighting this with Season 2 as well. For the past 24 hours I’ve been pulling my hair on this issue. Thought it was just me. The last post was in august. Am I to assume that this still hasn’t been fixed?
Guys this is pretty straight forward. If you want Plex to match this correctly you need to number episodes EXACTLY like thetvdb.com. The Siege of Lothal is 0x12 and Spark of Rebellion is 0x09 as discussed previously
Mine are numbered like tvdb and it all matches fine.
Now whether it should be numbered the way it is on there is something you have to take up with tvdb admins, and good luck there…
