Filter Watchlist by streaming channel, including unavailable on favorite channels // mod: +servers

Let’s say I use Discover to track my general watchlist. I go over to a friend’s house and he has Hulu. I want to filter my Watchlist by those available to stream on Hulu only.

Additionally, I want to…let’s say ‘ask friends if they have copies of movies they can lend me’ because they’re not available on any platform I’ve selected. I’d like to be able to see a list of these movies too

Filtering content by particular streaming service is very useful, not sure why nobody else is requesting/voting for this feature.

This would be especially useful when we plan on subscribing and/or unsubscribing a service.

yes please. I am trying to switch to only subscribing to a service at a time. This would be a great addition to find what to subscribe to next.

The second half of this suggestion to add a filter “Not Available on Your Services/Plex” is a key feature currently missing from Watchlist. Being able to filter by this would be useful to determine what movies and shows are missing so they can be obtained.

What would be also very useful would be the opposite, filter what is “Available on Your Services/Plex”, to be sure I can watch any item before I click over them.

Generally, the watchlist could use more granular ways to filter, sort, group results. My personal wish list for specific options includes:

  • for services with different movies/shows per “country” or “subscription tier”, also make this information visible, with the ability to filter, sort and group by
  • group by Service (potentially duplicating a movie/show when it is available on multiple services); also asked for here
  • group by Original Language
  • group by available Language (potentially duplicating a movie/show when it is available in multiple languages)
  • filter out services that show the movie, but not in Original Language (spoken and/or subtitle); i.e. do to see dubbed-only versions
  • filter out services that show the movie, but not in my preferred Languages (spoken and/or subtitle)

Currently, some of this information is not linked or if it exists, it is not shown on the watchlist overview. So if I want to work with a suitable subset, I have to click on the respective movie/show and then possibly also open it up in the respective service to see the language details.

So only iTunes and Videoland seem to be streaming “Maverick” in English/OV.

I am not sure where Plex pulls the meta data from, but this example shows that language something something that is available.

So I wanted to re-iterate the idea to have better filtering options for the watchlist:
Language of the video file

I found that I get a lot of hits on watched items for the services I have access to. However - many of these only carry the dubbed version in local language. Typically, I am only interested in the English, French, or OV version of a movie.

So if this ever get’s implemented, group/filter/sort by Language/OV should be included.
