Are there SSDs which are branded “WD Red”?
I only know about “spinning rust” drives with that moniker.
I’ve said ssd AND 7x WD RED HDD
network drives
I don’t honestly know how picky modern DDR4 compatibility is.
I notice that the CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 isn’t on the B560M PRO-VDH’s compatibility list. I see its brothers, though.
Does it just use the fastest mutually-compatible speed, probably?
Seems like a nice build overall.
mine is CM4X8GD3000C16K4D x2
I can’t imagine that good “normal” DDR4 memory won’t work with a “normal” board. I was just surprised to see the list of specific modules part #'s on the MSI support page.
managed to grab brand new board for £75 delivered
so £40 saved
looks like r6 will be around 75-85 mark … ufff must be a good case then
All ordered so many thanks to all for comments and advice.
Sure I could have gone for more powerful cpu but… 17000 benchmark is still 70% more power than I have right now and its only being used maybe 20% of the time.
All should be good.
Now, will just migrate by end of next week and try to sell my r510…
Believe it or not… EBay have similar nonHDD sets at £120
if somebody willing to pay around that then sure… Why not
Thanks again!
17000 … plus Quick Sync. Any normal transcode will be essentially free.
I should build the ~same machine. Cheers.
yep, fingers crossed. managed to get r6 case with motherboard together for 150 delivered
so not too shabby
theres currently another one on ebay £20 starting bid
