Finding 1.13.9.456 Qnap Qpkg

Server Version#: 1.13.9.456
Player Version#:

Hello, I currently have 1.13.9.456 Plex installed on my QNAP NAS.
Before I update to the latest/newest version, I would like to have a QPKG of 1.13.9.456 handy incase the latest does not work/I don’t like it so that I can always downgrade to my current, stable version. HOWEVER, I don’t have the 1.13.9.456 Qpkg saved/cant find it online, does anyone have a link or know where I can find it please???

Thanks,
Ryan

Worst-case scenario:

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Go to the command line (shell) of your QNAP.
  3. cd /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer
  4. Create a tar archive of everything, writing that tar ball to some other share for easy recall if needed.

Should your experiment fail.

  1. Stop Plex
  2. cd /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer
  3. tar xf /path/to/that/saved/tar-ball-file
  4. Start Plex

The version number will be wrong in QTS but you’ll have the same executables and your data back pristine

Thanks so much for responding!
I was able to follow your steps up to number 3. Using Putty I am in that directory, but I’m not sure how to create a tar archive… I tried googling it but im getting other suggestions such as using 7Zip somehow or installing linux somehow… If it’s not too much trouble, could you explain step #4 in more detail please?

Thanks,
Ryan
