Where can i find older version of plex server qpkg

I downloaded the latest version of plex media server for Qnap (qpkg) and i can’t connect anylonger, restarted the computer, the Qnap, etc…
So i need to find an older version that was working to reinstall.
Help welcome on the subject

How far back do you want to go? I don’t know where Plex installs on Qnap but if you can find it and you’ve been updating via Plex’s own update mechanism, there should be a folder called Updates that contains the current version and the last 2 versions.

If however something else was managing your Plex updates (for instance, my server is updated by snap on Ubuntu) that folder will be empty. You might need to tag one of the Plex employees (hello @ChuckPa) and hopefully they’ll have an old build for you to try out.

Alternatively, if you can move this post to the NAS area you’re likely to find more people that are better positioned to help you there.

just 1 previous update to 1.30.2 thanks i downloaded the latest one and can’t connect anylonger

Where can i find this folder?

Wherever Plex installs on Qnap. I run mine on a PC with linux but the structure is similar to when I ran on Windows.

plexmediaserver/common/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Updates

Because I installed Plex using snap on Ubuntu, i get update notifications from snap and it handles that. The Updates folder is empty in my case though.

How do you try to connect? By IP from a web browser?

If by IP in a browser, and you see Plex/web load but not find the computer
then the server has become signed out (disconnected) from your account.

That’s easily resolved.

The package installation structure on QNAP is completely different than any other platform PMS runs on. QTS’s package mechanism is very simple: “the current installed image” nothing more. It’s very much like a docker container.
