Fire TV displayed library not updating after watching an episode

I use my player displaying unwatched items from my library. After watching a TV episode or movie and then going back to the list, the watched show is still in there. I have to go to another category and then back again for it to be removed. This doesn’t happen with the Roku or web players. It’s a minor annoyance, but is there a setting that can fix it or is this a feature of the Fire TV player?

When I watch episodes on my Fire TV they don’t get marked as watched at all. Even after I exit and reenter, they stay stuck in the continue watching row and I have to mark the episode as watched manually

I reported this 8 or 10 months ago and it’s still broken. It was getting progressively worse so I actually bought my dad a Roku so I didn’t have to deal with it. I still have one but I don’t use it that much

I hope your minor annoyance doesn’t turn into what I had
