I just updated the FireTV app 08/09/2019 and now i am unable to find the plugins folder. Is there something that i am missing? I grasp what their doing with the new interface, but i think they left out the plugins access, or i am missing something.
This is extremely important and i need access back to them. Anyone have any ideas besides going back a version?
It was announced that channels/plugins were being discontinued almost a year ago. As we update apps they will not include plugins.
I miss it too. Just another reason to dump Plex and move on to Channels DVR. Plex keeps adding crap I don’t want/need and can’t get the basic functionally to work.
Yet another example of companies “thinking” for you. These companies like Apple and Samsung and now Plex say " it’s for your convenience, this is something you want!" Total BS. All it does is removes flexibility for the user. I use HDHR Viewer all the time, and now I can’t because, why? What’s so hard about leaving the plugin capability available? And yes, I see the notice from a year ago that they were no longer supporting it, that’s not the same as actually eliminating it. Moving on to something else I guess…

All four of my Fire Sticks got updated Thursday evening and no content was visible on the screens because of this bug I believe Downgrade - #5 by OttoKerner

After calming down my wife and advising that it would be fixed shortly and it was out of my control, I came home Friday to find the Fire Sticks were now working. BUT the Channels / Plugins option was nowhere to be found

Update, Fire Sticks stopped working again from Saturday.
This is not going to end well !!! 
You will no longer find Plugins, they are gone and they are not coming back.
Regarding your other issue, I suggest you start a new thread so it gets the visibility it needs.

Longtime plex user, very disappointed in this decision. Plex is becoming the very company that exist to combat. I will be looking for an alternative and not be renewing my plex pass.
This is another example of a #sellout
Extremely disappointed. Already looking for a replacement. Emby looks promising . What else is there ?
