I was thinking of making a discover new unwatched / unplayed TV Shows. I was able to create it to only show TV shows that have never been played and are currently considered unwatched. The only thing that would make this custom playlist better is if there was filter to only list the first episode or to filter by episode number / season number.
This would enable the ability to not only accomplish my discovery playlist, but also to create extras playlists for season 0 and other seasons as well.
