First taste of rasplex... were my expectations too high?

Actually I think the view counter is just not always up to date...

Well anyway, I recently tried rasplex for the first time and I'm very happy with it! The menu reacts a bit slowly but all my HD content plays without problems :)

And the setup was a breeze! My remote and wifi worked out of the box, I didn't even have to fiddle with the commandline.

Hmmm. What a shame. How are the mods meant to help you? I can only assume you modified your orignal post because it's pretty thin on detail.

For what it's worth, I recently setup a Rasplex and while there was a small to medium learning curve, it wasn't too tricky. While there have been a few teething problems, most of them were easy to solve. And we are actually now so happy with our Rasplex, our WDLive has now been moved to the bedroom with the new Rasplex in the lounge.

For me, so far Rasplex is the best Plex client. It is not perfect and it is too slow to enter in a large library or change filter (around 10 sec when library has around 800 movies) but it plays movies very very well. As I said, so far best experience for a cheap device. In my oppinion, better than Apple TV, Fire TV, Chromecast and Roku
