.plexignore is a vital feature used by many photo enthusiasts to exclude specific filetypes from their photo libraries. One example file type is “.CR2”.
This feature has been fully supported for many years, and is even referenced in the support article as an example of how to use plexignore.
A few months ago this feature broke. Multiple users are no longer able to use .plexignore to exclude .cr2 files from their photo libraries. Team member ChuckPA confirmed that the photo scanner was rewritten.
He also confirmed that .plexignore no longer works with photos.
The request here is to fix .plexignore so that folks who have photo libraries can use the .plexignore feature once again.
