I have a lifetime plex pass subscription I was hoping it would help with my vast Flac library! I have a Synology NAS but can’t get plex to leave the Flac files alone! It always transcodes them into MP3? There doesn’t seem to be any settings to disable transcodeing of the FLAC format? I have tried several Roku player’s even a new Ultra, I have a very good AVR that can handle high resolution Audio streams but until I build my Raspberry pi with a DAC daughter board the only way I can get the Flacs to play on my AVR untouched is through a Old Sony BR (and only directly accessed without using plex yes it even transcodes with plex on the BR) player? If the BR player was able to handle the higher bit rate Flacs I would just use it alone! Is plex going to support Flac playback without transcoding in the future? Or is there a setting I can’t find in the server?
