For the plugin I’m creating I’ve found the source to the FLV file. When I go to view it the FLV is downloaded first before it plays.
Is there anyway to make it stream instead?
Are you sure it’s not just buffering?
VideoItem(flvUrl, title, desc, “”, thumbUrl) should do it.
If it’s less than 4MB, the whole thing may get buffered. Otherwise it just just buffer and play. We’re going to be adding support for plug-ins to be able to “hint” about how much buffering a video item needs.
It seems like it is downloading the whole thing instead of buffering, but maybe it is just a slow site.
I may create a site configuration to use their buffering through Flash for comparison sake.
