Force direct play on PS3

Hi,

I just discovered Plex and just bought a NAS with Plex Server (ReadyNAS 102).
I knew about the transcoding restrictions but thought that it ouldn’t matter since I’ve used DLNA until now and only a few of my files can’t be played.

Now I discover that I can’t play any of my video files through the Plex app for PS3 since it tells me the server doesn’t support transcoding.
Is there a way to force direct play since most files can be played by the PS3 ?

No, there is no such thing. What Sony allows people to play via a USB-disk/DLNA, is not necessarily what they allow app developers to play back :frowning:
