I have a Korean Show, with 2 english subtitle tracks one is forced for text in the scene and the other subtitles for the audio.
Now im only able to enable one of those two subtitle files but not both. How can i enable both or set it to automatically enable the forced subs when i enable normal subs?
Please go a bit more into detail about these subtitles.
Do the “normal” subtitles not also contain the lines which are in the forced subs? Normally they should.
so i have a show in the original language audio in this case Korean. I have the “Normal” subtitles in english “Showname.en.srt” this one includes subtitles for what the people say.
and i have the forced subtitles file “Showname.en.forced.srt” this one includes only translations of Korean Text showing on screen.
I can switch between the subs but then i either have only the subtitles for the audio or if i select forced i have only translations for the text on screen like messages on phone etc. but not for what they say
FORCED SUBTITLE SEARCHES
i have prefer non-forced subtitles
but i can only choose one of the two not both when i select a video
Unless Otto has some kind of magic trick I’m unaware of I don’t think what you’re asking is possible.
You might have to look into a subtitle editing program you can use to merge the two subtitles into one
The other option is to use a program to burn the subtitles into the file permanently for one, and then select the other to play automatically with Plex
They extract the “forced” parts for things written on the screen for versions dubbed in English.
But I agree, instead of extracting those parts they should be copying them to use in the “forced” edition
This is not uncommon for some reason. I’ve encountered this before and I don’t get it.
If I had to guess, I’m thinking there might be a popular piece of software that people use that makes it more difficult to do properly.
If you don’t understand spoken Korean what are the chances you know how to read it?
