Forced to lower Bitrate on local network

I have a PC with I7-12500 and RTX3600 mobile. Plex server is installed there with lifetime subscription and connected via cable to the router.

I have also an Android smart TV with Plex APP connected via cable to the router but with a different account (which has no subscription)

Well, I am forced to lower bitrate to 720p otherwise I get very frequent buffering (once every 30 seconds).

Which can be the cause? It seems like the stream if flowing from the internet and not in the local network.

What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard?

Specifically:

  • is the stream listed as local, remote or indirect?
  • any transcoding

Maybe you can share a screenshot of the expanded tile.
