I agree actually. I probably could have worded that better. When I think of a faithful reproduction in my mind it’s taking what I loved about the old and marrying it to the best parts of the new. Best example being the images showing the last commenter. I found that immensely useful. What I like about the new forums better is the bread crumbs, the nice big twitter bootstrap buttons, etc. In all honesty once I have the images piece done I’ll likely drop this into support mode. I’m at this point happy where things are.

what rules?
is it this issue all over again?
I KNEW I’d seen that before. :-S Needs to be fixed in @vanstinator 's stylesheet.
That’s not enough, however. The body text color is hidden with that fix, the padding on the Breadcrumbs needs adjustment, and the box on the right is white.
Taking a look.
Modified and there’s an update online. I’m going to take a break from the javascript enhancements and do another round of polish on the CSS side. There are a few other nagging things.
This seems to fix it, and it doesn’t appear to affect anything else:
html, body, body.thumbnail {color: #F2F2F2; background-color: #323232;}
And this fixes the Breadcrumbs:
.Breadcrumbs {border:0px; padding: 20px 10px 20px 10px;}
EDIT: Scratch that. It makes breadcrumbs on other pages overpadded.
Doesn’t fix the box, though…
Yeah all I did was the background color. I’ll do the rest this evening.
That page doesn’t even work with the standard CSS. I’ll hammer it into shape and push a release before bed. I’ll edit this post as I go.
11:25 P.M. Update is live. @beckfield I’ve included all of your custom changes as user options on the main installer. If anyone else is still using customizations I can include those as well. It should make it easier for you guys to stay updated going forward.
I’m unveiling version 0.1 of my JS plugin. Right now this is only the cache builder for user avatars. The actual upgrade will come out tomorrow or Thursday. This script will start building out the user image url local cache so when I drop the layout adjustments you’ll have a decent experience.
You do not need to install this if you are only planning on using the CSS script. That script will always be compatible with or without the JavaScript plugin. The JavaScript plugin is purely for those looking for more extensive script changes.
If you are planning on using the JavaScript plugin install this now as it will make your experience better when the next update comes out.
You will also need tampermonkey https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?hl=en

Thanks for the heads up. Was broken with mine too. All fixed now along with some other minor fixes, mainly pull-down boxes (gears, icon at top near username) were still showing up white.
Darn, I messed up. Anyone using my styles and haven’t updated today? I accidentally overwrote mine. If you can post the CSS, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
I’m trying to fall asleep and now I’m laughing too hard…

:((
Never mind, I just decided to recreate my changes.
Edit - Fixed and updated.
@vanstinator - On your screenshot earlier with the avatars on the right, you lost the gear icon to “mark as read”. Is that intentional?

That’s great. This is really cool. I hate to keep picking, but the font-size option doesn’t have any effect unless I add the !important rule to it.

It’s not. That’s probably a piece of html I missed when doing some changes. I’ll look at that today.

I actually like supporting this so feel free to keep requesting. I’ll take a look ![]()
@MovieFan.Plex there isn’t a gear on the threads unless you created the discussion.
@beckfield patched.
The javascript side is solidifying really well and I’m planning on a release tonight.

Yep, saw it. Curious: How’d you make the font-size work without the !important rule? Must have changed something at an ancestor level.

I was referring to these. When you moved the avatar to the right, these are gone on yours.
