I am curious which filter is used for the “Fright Night” movie recommendations.
I assumed it would be the “Horror” tag.
But it did include the first “Harry Potter” movie for whatever reason. The tags of this movie are: “Adventure, Fantasy, Family”
IIRC Harry Potter 1 is included for the Halloween chapter/scene. I believe Plex mentioned they’re using a manually curated list as reference (at least in the past).
I kind of do the same with Christmas movies but this is what I do since a movie genre “Christmas” does not exist. Or, you can create a movie playlist, too.
Edit each movie you want to be considered “Halloween”, edit the file in Plex and under genre, add the custom genre “Halloween” to it. I do that with Christmas movies. I do not replace it so if someone wants to look up horror, your horror movies would still show up, like Family or animated shows up some of my Christmas movies.
