I’m trying to use Live TV and it works, but, I have two issues.
- Video playback is direct playback by default, which is like 200+Mbps and runs choppy. If I change the playback settings to convert automatically, it runs great, but only for that one viewing session. If I change channels and go back, it changes back to direct play, which runs poorly.
- Channels play an assistive audio track by default, which describes the scenes, on top of the audio of the content. This is extremely distracting and it seems I need to transcode to stop it, which would be fine, if it weren’t for the first issue above.
I can’t find anywhere in my media server settings or player settings to change the default video stream for live TV. I tried changing the local and remote playback settings to convert automatically, but that doesn’t seem to apply to live tv. Does anyone know how I can set things up so I don’t have to go into the playback menu and change settings every single time I try and watch something?
