I would like to request a generic compile of the Plex Media Server for the ARMv7 platform. As you know your current efforts with the compiles for the ARMv5 platform has been highly appreciated but as we all know the platform is architecture is getting quite old and today the majority of small SOC computers with a bit more power are based on the ARMv7 architecture. The most powerful ones which can be easily obtained reach up to quad core systems with 2Gb of RAM.
Among the more popular SOC computers with ARMv7 are the Cubieboard, Beagleboard, Synology DS213j and the D3plug.
Examples of platforms which are running on ARMv7 can be found here;
I join the request as well. Please support the Synology DS213J.
Guys, to be clear here....
1) So far 7 people have said this would be great, but only 3 have voted for it
2) A generic ARMv7 compile may or may not work on a DS213J - if you are specifically after DS213J support then you should vote for that in its voting thread.
I wouldn't mind a build without any transcoding support, planning to run it on an Odroid U3. Plex's web management interface is the the reason why I want it over minidlna.
I liked the original post for my vote to count -- really looking forward to running a "backup" PMS server on my odroid u3 as the main PMS server is experiencing a lot of weird issues when ran on CentOS.
