Get plex to use Intel & NVIDIA graphics

Hi all,
I’ve just upgraded my Ubuntu 20.04’s mobo + CPU to an ASUS Prime B560M-A and an i3-10105. I’ve also added a puny MSI Geforce 210 card. When installing plex, neither the intel nor the nvidia hardware is found. Can someone advise as to how to get my hardware usable by plex? Many thanks in advance.

  1. The Geforce 210 was made in 2009 and predates any hardware transcoding capabilities. For this reason, it won’t be found by the installer.

  2. The i3-10105 does have Quick Sync video.

If the i915 is not found then you have a setting in your UEFI/BIOS which has disabled it.
