Within the last few weeks, randomly, when I’ve added a music album for an artist that already existed in the library with at least one album to their name, when clicking on that artist’s name from the homepage “Recently Added” section to bring me to the artist page, I’m instead brought to an error page that says “Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred”.
It has happened approx 4-5 times so far (the only artist whose name I can remember was The Brian Setzer Orchestra.)
I can successfully search for the albums by the artist and go to each album page, but if I try to go the main page for the artist by clicking on the artist’s name from the album is when I get the error.
And just now went to visit an artist page that I had not added any new albums for and was presented with the same error (the artist was Andy C but oddly enough, I also get the same error message when visiting the artist page for Andy C and DJ Hype).
For a workaround, I had been deleting all media for that artist, emptying the trash, and re-adding another album by the same artist that was previously not in my library and re-scanning because I was getting the same “Something went wrong” message if I re-added the same media. Adding a new album that had never been in the library before was the only way to stop the error from occurring and allow the main page for the artist to load.
I’m really hoping that it’s anything other that a sign of a corrupted database.
