Thought I was somewhat smart, but just starting with Plex. Works on my iMac fine. Downloaded VLC on Apple TV , I see the Plex network icon and I click on it and it ask me for user and password. I have tried everything I can think of. Is it Plex info? My iMac info? Nothing I do works. I thought it would just work.
Vlc does not work with plex. I’m guessing you are seeing the plex dlna server. In this case vlc is trying to access your computer. It’s your computer username and password you need, not your plex credentials.
