When are you going to allow for google assistant to access plex so you can say “Plex play Batman begins”, Currently as far as I am aware you can open plex with google assistant and that’s it.
Yes, there are plex integrations such as plex assistant that you run via home assistant but id rather not do that.

However, for this to happen, they need to start by submitting their Action application for testing and certification through the Developer Console. PLEASE make integration with Google Assistant a priority. Been waiting for over 5 years for Plex do do something about this. Voice control is a great asset for the disabled.
Can someone from Plex just say it isn’t going to be done if thats the case? I have a whole entire home automation set up off google but have been with plex since it was just a new niche app to try and just want a straight up answer. If I have to buy an alexa just to control plex on my tv then so be it, but I have been waiting patiently cause we have heard quite a few times over the years to be patient and it was coming. I check every year or so and once again there is nothing new so am just politely asking for a straight answer.
I read somewhere that Plex has not been pursuing Google Home integration due to a concern about user privacy being compromised by linking Plex with Google. If this is the case then surely the functionality can be developed and implemented with the linkage defaulting to disabled. Users who wish to have the functionality enabled can then opt in and permit the appropriate access links.
Plex integration with Google Home ecosystems is really a glaring omission that is long overdue.
