It would be nice to have some form of integration with Google Assistant or maybe Alexa outside the US.
Like “Ok Google, tell Plex to play Stranger Things on the TV in the living room” or something like that.
Is that being worked on, or is that something so remote that you won’t consider it for the near future? Just curious.
OT: Will Live TV be coming to Chromecasts in the near future? o:)
I am surprised that Google Assistant integration is not yet available in the Plex smart phone apps or for the Google Home smart-home speakers, considering that it’s already available in Plex on Android TV boxes and NVidia Shield. I assume this is currently being developed? If not, it should be close to top priority. Literally, millions of Google Homes and Google Home Minis have been sold this holiday season, so I imagine this would have to be a primary Plex usage case for a lot of people going forward. If this is under development, is there any way to get an ETA, or even just a simple confirmation that it’s coming at some point? Throw us a Plexivus bone here, Devs!!

Bump - So I’ve just started experimenting with the Android based car head-units.
The one I have is based on Oreo. Apart from an annoying display issue that I’ve reported, it’s perfect otherwise. I see an equally perfect use-case for Google Assistant integration, so that drivers can safely call up their tunes on Plex…
So far as I am aware, this isn’t as yet a feature? It would be great if it could be…
