not sure why plex don’t give updates, even if it’s that they’re not looking at this until another 12 months. every month i have to search for updates.

+1 for this, I’d really like support for plex to be added to google home as I’ve swapped all my Alexa devices out
It would be great to have it added… Can it some how get integrated through Home Assistant UI? what about expanding the HA sensor that is already there! There’s Phlex add on in HA as well
I’m in on this too. My house is googlfied, and it sucks that I cannot integrate with my plex library, especially my music library.
I read above that emby may have this supported? IF this is true it may be time to try it out and ‘switch’. I’ve been an avid plex user and promoter for 7-8 years now… that’d be a shame…

I really thought this would have already been working; how many TVs have got Plex and Google nowadays. It should be a given they go hand in hand.
I’d love to see this added as well. I’ve just received 4 free Nest Mini speakers which I’ve set up throughout the house for playing music for the kids. I’m also working towards adding Assistant enabled lighting & power points. I have Google Assistant enabled on my Xbox One which is my main Plex Client, I’d love to be able to just call out throughout the house “Hey Google, use Plex to play Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire on Xbox One.”
+1 would be great to know if this is (i) in the works or (ii) can’t be done because of xx.
Fully googleified house with google homes in each room and each TV connected to an Android TV STB - vital missing piece in my smarthome setup.

When are Plex going to integrate with Google Assistant? This integration is long overdue. The emphasis is on Plex to do the integration, not Google. As a Plex PASS user, I would like to get this sorted.
Right here with you guys. Seems like it should be possible. If PLEX are able to do it on their end they should absolutely be onto it (it’d be worth buying PASS just for this) otherwise they should definitively tell us that it’s on Google’s end.

I’d like to join the club. Google Home integration is a must. Tried Flex and it works but is kind of clunky. I have been very happy with Plex with very few issues. The integration of Google Home would be worth paying more for. I have no issue with paying for progress, this addition would truly make Plex the essential Smart Home media player.
I’d like to also add +1 on google home integration with plex. I don’t currently have a pass but would more than happy to purchase one with this integration. I’ve tried with Emby and other tools but can’t get it to work and it seems the plex remote access is a lot user friendly.
So I just found out Emby has Google integration, but after 18 months of being requested, Plex still does not? I wonder why this is?
To be honest, if I’d not already invested in a Plex Pass and had quite comprehensive watch statistics in Tautulli, I’d consider moving across to Emby just for the Google Home integration.

I can’t believe Plex is still not integrated into Google home. Not sure what it would take but I bet if we could still use plugins someone would have done it already. Is flex still a viableish option?
