Need Plex + Google home integration.
Could we get some information on this? Is it in the works? Was some special deal signed with Amazon to give them voice control exclusivity as I have heard rumors that might be the case. I love plex and have been waiting on Google Home integration since I preorder mine right after the announcement last year. I use plex easily every day and it would be such a pleasure to have guests be able to just say what they want to watch instead of finding the remote for the Roku in one room, bring up the smart tv app in another, or chromecast it from their phone/pc in the other 2 rooms.
+1 for Google Home support.

When I ask to my google Home to watch a movie on Plex, it does’nt make a research or bug, now it says " Sorry I cant play movie on Plex yet. "
Maybe in near future !
+1 for Google Home integration. I want to buy into the Google Home Mini ecosystem this holiday season, but Plex is the reason it’s holding me back. I don’t want to go Alexa just for this.

Forgive me… but if the update is for the Android version of Plex, but adds TV support of Google Assistant integration… where exactly is that support?? My TV can run Plex (thought I usually use my win10 HTPC,) but that is not the android app… I am not sure I understand who that support is for.
It is for TVs running Android TV as the TV’s Operating System.

I would thoroughly enjoy being able to voice search/command from my Google Home speaker to my LG OLED running WebOS. Some API hook to push the data for the LG to play. I don’t even care if it won’t pause, rewind. Just search and play!
+1 for Google Home integration. And with heavy discounts on Google Home this holiday season, your potential audience continues to grow.

Spent some hours trying to set up Phlex over 4 separate days. Never got it all the way working. And don’t feel comfortable having to expose an apache server to the world.
+1 at least announce that it’s in development.
