With the removal of plugins and what-not, I think it’d be a great idea to incorporate Google Play Movies, and iTunes movies (if iTunes will cooperate) into PLEX.
Though, I am 100% aware that there may be legal issues, I think this would be awesome. Especially since it would lower the amount of apps I need to use just to get some decent entertainment.
If you wanted to try going above and beyond, you could even try allowing users to watch Netflix (from a linked Netflix account), on PLEX.
would love that to be honest, they cant even get trakt integration sorted or a working DVR, honestly think the end is nigh and they are going to disappear
I believe the trakt integration is maintained by trakit, not plex, but I understand why you are annoyed. PLEX is supposed to be a ‘central station’ for all of your home media. Therefore it makes sense that it should be able to interact with these entertainment merchants.
Please do try making this a thing Plex workers. Partnering with these online streaming services will mean I don’t have to go to the store, buy a DVD, rip it, then upload it everytime I want to add something to my collection.
