Google terminated the access to the NAS compatibility sheet

The NAS Compatibility List | Plex Support page links to a Google Sheet which Google terminated (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MfYoJkiwSqCXg8cm5-Ac4oOLPRtCkgUxU0jdj3tmMPc), as apparently this sheet was in violation of their ToS:

Anyone knows where else could I find an updated list of Plex-supported NAS devices?

Thanks for the report. Let me look into this.

Awesome, thanks! :star:

Meanwhile, can you advise how could I get this list elsewhere? The Google Sheets link is still broken.

We’re working to get it unblocked. The info is not available elsewhere. Is there something specific you were looking for? I can try to get that info for you.

Yes please! I’m curious about Synology DiskStation DS1821+, how it performs, how transcoding works there, etc. I don’t remember the specific items that the compatibility list will address. Thanks!

I’ll see what I can find. Since it’s an AMD cpu, it may just work, but it’s not guaranteed.

There is a current thread talking about that device. Maybe you can jump in there and ask about their experience with it. What version Plex for DS1821+ with Ryzen CPU?

Sounds good, thanks!

Uhm, what exactly would that list have violated? To helpful to others? Google really is just horrbile.

I’m curious about that myself too. I don’t think there was anything illegal on it, maybe it just had something to do with licensing (user use vs. enterprise use for instance). Maybe @anon18523487 can throw in his 2 ₵ on the matter

Any status on when this will become available again? Might be just best to move the data somewhere else, Google is truly evil after-all.

If Google won’t restore the sheet or explain themselves, maybe you can build your own embedded spreadsheet using x-spreadsheet or something similar. That might not be as convenient though if you have to import every time you make updates.

Any Update? I’m thinking of switching to a Rackmount NAS and wanted to see the different compatibility settings for it. Another idea would be to just put the spreadsheet on your server and have people download it when they click on the link.

Would really like to see it return as well on Google or elsewhere. Attached is a zipped copy of it that was exported from Google Sheets, could be opened in Excel or Open Office Calc.
