I have the new Ryzen CPU synology NAS and i cant get the PLEX app to work on it from the store. It keep saying unable to start app. Does anyone that have these new versions , Series 21 of synology NAS know what version of plex runs on it?
Try the Intel 64-bit version from plex.tv/download.

So i tried that version of the Plex server and i got the same error even though i followed the steps

If still DSM 6,
Give yourself (Control Panel - Shared Folder) R/W access to the Plex share.
Open Filestation, navigate into Library until you see Logs.
Right-click Logs and ‘Compress to Logs.zip’

Here is what you should see in File Station. Compress the Logs folder and attach the zip file to this thread.
Suggestion: Since this is a new installation, so no history, etc to save, completely remove Plex Media Server from the system, reboot the NAS, then start from scratch with a manual installation using the latest version downloaded from Plex.
FAQ 9: Uninstalling PMS - Completely start over
- Package Center - Remove the Plex package
- Control Panel → Users - Delete user Plex
- Control Panel → Shared Folders - Delete the Plex share
- Restart DSM

Hello @ChuckPa I have tried several suggestions and I keep getting the same error.
I have the DS1621+ which has the same CPU and no issues with Plex, though since installing I have now upgraded to DSM7 and still works perfectly.
Do you use the version in the Synology store are the one on plex.tv download? if so what version?
I use the plex.tv download as the one from Synology is not being maintained until DSM7 is released and is a very old version. I use the Intel 64-bit package from the downloads section
@HomeMediaServer2018 How many local streams and remote streams does your Synology handles?
@CGameDev I only use about two local streams and one to two remote streams at once and it copes perfectly, much better than my old DS918+ (which had hardware encoding). It leaves my old DS918+ for dust in regards performance
@HomeMediaServer2018 Is the software transcoding really good, because i know it does not have a gpu built in, and does adding the NVME cache drives make a significant difference?
