I am late to this discussion. The issue happens for me with the embedded Prime Video App with UHD video. It does not happen with a Google video. However, we had a 4K Firestick (looks more like a square) and I added that to the TV. The gray bars with the same video are not black. Maybe not ideal but it worked. Also, the remote I had for the Bravia works with the 4K Firestick (which I wasnā€™t anticipating) so I just have to change the input. Good luck. Still think that Sony should fix thisā€¦

Thatā€™s because in the last one (2160h) the black bars belong to the picture, in the second one (2026h) only a bit and none in the first one (1608)
