I am trying to cut the cord and my wife is pretty much on board. We have a 4 tuner HDHR, an outside antenna, and Plex Media Server running on Windows. We have a LG Smart TV 55UJ7700 which has the Plex player installed. It works well for live tv and DVR. I have looked around this forum and I don’t see any mention of the grid guide for webos, I apologize if I missed it. I have purchased a Roku which I use on another TV which does have the grid guide. Perhaps no one can comment, but are there any plans/estimated time when the grid guide will be available for LG webos? I think this would finally let me pull the plug on cable TV. I can purchase a Roku and use it on my LG, but that seems a little redundant. Thanks.

From my own poking around, seems as if there was an attempt at a Plex Grid Guide for LGTV (and other platforms) last year. Apparently these were deemed not quite ready and were pulled.
I could not find anything about Plex’s future plans in this regard. I would love to see a Grid Guide for Plex.
Plex doesn’t publish timelines/roadmaps. It will show up when it shows up…
I’ve got an LG TV and have been paying for the Plex Pass for over a year, but just cancelled my subscription because without a program guide I have no interest in continuing to use Plex. If or when they decide to put the guide in the LG app maybe I’ll give it another shot, but probably not.
Have exactly the same setup as original post, It is the only final hurdle that is stopping me ditching sky completely. As the guide makes it a comparable to search and find programmes as the sky box- the grid or list within Plex is amatuer at best.
I am rooting for this to come soon as well. The current, non-grid style, guide for LG WebOS is difficult to deal with.
Posting for the firs time to support a grid guide! It’s a must have for a good live TV and DVR experience.
I agree, we need a grid guide.
We also could use the ability to channel surf up/down instead of going back and selecting a new channel from the “guide”.
+1 for the grid layout for live TV in the LG web OS app! Now that the timeshifting issues seem to be getting ironed out, I wouldn’t have to use my HTPC for live TV. The LG app seems to work very well, other than the lack of a grid view/program guide. It’s hard to find content.
For example, about an hour before the football game last night, I literally could not find the game in the LG app, in upcoming programs or anywhere, to schedule the recording. But I easily found it on the grid view, in PMP on PC.
That’s not meant as a complaint, more of an observation. I’m actually over the moon about the fact that OTA timeshifting seems to be working! Yay Plex! Grid view for LG Web OS smart TVs, yes please!

For me I just use my iPad till the day it’s added to my LG
