When you select a channel from the guide and you click the back button it still goes all the way back to the top of the guide.
Hi @JasonsPlex , this is an intended change since we wanted to give the users a quick way to navigate back to the top of the guide and access the tabs.
Before this change, In DVR setups with numerous channels, the only way to get to the top would be to exit Live TV and then go back again.

Hi @geosidi this is intense having to scroll all the way back to the channel I was already on so I can choose another channel that was right above it. Maybe you guys can implement this a little differently. Where the back button brings you back to the channel and a second time of hitting back brings you all the way to the top. That would be a lot easier to navigate. Or introduce favorite channels. Which I know you guys played around with a while back.
Is this when going back to the guide from the player? After you have already tuned in?
That is correct. So once I’m tuned into the channel after selecting it from the guide and clicking the back button one-time brings it all the way back to the top of the guide.
Alright I see. I think it’s similar to what’s been reported here: Guide reverts to lowest channel
In that case this is indeed a bug and we’re working on a fix.

Yes, I am the one that created that post. It is very annoying, especially if I am on channel 700 and then to scroll back is just not gonna happen.

on the subject of guide, how made the decision to make the scrolling speed so slow?
it’s unbearable slow if you want to quickly scroll to the bottom.
scrolling speeds were also made a lot slower elsewhere in the app, which is a poor decision IMO.
@geosidi Working perfect so far, thank you! @herman_munster it is slower but the option now is to just click quickly on the remote and it scrolls fairly quickly. I have a feeling we’re going to see favorite Channels soonish.
that’s still slower than being able press hold down and it scroll quickly to the bottom.
plex seems to have restricted scroll speeds throughout the whole app for some reason - i’m sure they will justify it somehow, but it now gives a poorer user experience.

this slow scrolling is in all parts of the app, not just live tv guide.
it used to be nice and fast and then something changed and everything was made slower.
This newest update is doing it again. I understand you guys want this as a feature but once again it should be two back button clicks to go to the top, not going back from watching a channel back to the guide. Thank you! @geosidi
Hi @JasonsPlex , I can assure you that we don’t want this as a feature and agree with you that 2 back button clicks should go to the top.
I can confirm that I see that issue only on Favorites tab and working on a fix. Please let me know if you see it on other tabs.

Thank you, yes that’s the only tab I use now haha, but I don’t see it in the other tabs.
