Hard drive being absolutely thrashed by plex media scanner

Hello, recently I had a harddrive fail taking half my plex lib with it, managed to get a new drive and the data is back, but i’m noticing now that plex is constantly reading data on the drive, using like 99% activity. Nothing is being played, and the drive is only for my anime libraries for plex, so nothing is writing to it. I also haven’t added anything new to the lib/drive in a few days now

I looked at the console and it seems to be stuck in a loop giving errors, no idea what’s going on or how to fix it, any assist would be appreciated

Plex Media Server.log (8.5 MB)

It’s still reading 200-250 MB/s constantly. I’ve looked into resource monitor and it does show it accessing different shows/episodes so i don’t think it’s stuck, but still surely it should of been done with whatever its doing right? I haven’t added anything new to it for atleast a day or 2, and its been running since then. I have a little over 16000 episodes on it

If I had to guess its probably the generation of intro video markers or video thumbnails depending on if you have them enabled. They are hugely resource hungry tasks until they complete and depending on your setup and number of files you have it could take days to weeks to finish.

Plus in-depth bandwidth analysis.
Plus chapter thumbnails.

In short: this is to be expected after creating fresh libraries with a decent amount of media in them.
