Auto means it will use a GPU if it can.
Where the selection becomes useful is if you have multiple GPU’s and want to specify one vs the other.

Which seem to suggest that in my system, Plex will ignore the video card entirely? Or am I being a moron?
I don’t have any experience with Radeon sorry, not sure if that chart is outdated and it’s supported now, seeing posts on here now and then some people get it working but no idea how.

I think you’re right. Turned on auto and it did transcode via GPU, thank you
