Hardware transcoding on NVIDIA fails since 1.23.1.4571-6119e8eed and still fails on latest 1.23.4.4805-186bae04e

Hello

I’m on Debian with Docker and Hardware Transcoding works great since the beginning (I use Plex since years now) but the 1.23.1.4571-6119e8eed breaks hardware transcoding.

When I see this, I rollback on 1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438 and fixed the version in my compose file.
This morning, I see on the changelog that a fix has been found so I unfixed that version, but I still have the problem.

1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438.log (1.5 MB)
1.23.4.4805-186bae04e.log (664.0 KB)

I attached you two file, this is two log with the 1.23.4.4805-186bae04e version not working and the same file played with 1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438 that work.

As I see on the faulty log, it stops before showing this line :
[Transcode] [FFMPEG] - Loaded lib: libcuda.so.1

Have you an idea ?

Thank you.
Regards,

Hello,

I am also having huge issues with Hardware transcoding under a P2000:

Don’t know if these sort of issues are the ones you are experiencing.

Kind regards

Check your Nvidia driver version. The min driver version was bumped somewhere along the way. Sorry I can’t be more specific.

Hello,

What do you mean, in my case I have latest nvidia version available: NVIDIA DRIVERS Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver

Yes ! That’s it. My drivers version on Debian was 418.197.02. I upgraded to 460.73.01 and it works again. Thank you
