I have had some issues with doubled-pictures, and it would be a fantastic, maybe optional feature, to be able to detect and eliminate these.
I suggest, that the photoscanner makes a MD5 hash of the first few Kbytes of a file to determine if the file is a candidate for a more thorough duplicate handling. After that it make a thorough examination and detects the identical pictures. Then it can stop this double-file-mayhem. I do not say that Plex should handle the doublets, but just do not show them twice.
