Integrating phash (https://www.phash.org/) into Plex Media Server would make finding and managing duplicate files so much faster and easier. It can handle different resolutions, bitrates, and works for audio, video, and image file types.
Would you mind sharing the specific use case you’d like Plex to cover?
I’m not sure about where you end up with duplicates which aren’t recognized as such by Plex (e.g. using the Duplicates filter).
Not sure it’s such a great idea to integrate a software that’s not been updated for 12+ years (according to the linked homepage)
