I am really angry with the lack of support I am getting on the posts I am making. Reading through some older posts, I can see there are plenty of people feeling the same but, they were promptly ignored which has helped set my expectations really really low.
I think that Plex is big enough to assemble the proper support team which would be capable of committing to industry-standard SLA while working through ticketing services such as Service Now, Jira, SalesForce, or any other you prefer. Anything is better than this forum.
I wouldn’t mind paying some extra bucks on my monthly subscription if I knew that if I raise a ticket, it will be acknowledged, taken seriously, and responded to within 24h.
While you leave this post to collect dust, like other posts that are similar in nature, I’ll explore your competition and see what type of support they are offering.
Looking forward to being surprised by your showing that you give a damn.
As I said above, I was exploring other media server solutions. To my surprise, I have found a free, open-source, and no paywall for any feature, Jellyfin also has direct chat support. To say I am disappointed in Plex is an understatement.
I will be trying it out and if the performance is up to my expectations, don’t be surprised if you lose a paying customer.
Considering that I have an open thread on this forum where I am getting no help or assurance of any sort, I am reviving this topic.
I believe now more than ever that Plex needs a direct ticketing system for support with at least an industry standard SLA.
Plus 1 over lack of support. This surprised me. I have since learnt to fix issues myself. Of course, not everything can be fixed by the user and not everyone might be willing or able to do so.
It would be really great if Plex worked properly for me. Constant interruptions on live TV channels. My Internet connection is rock solid and Plex used to work without problems but over the last month or so it has been awful. Seems to cutoff during ads but not always sometimes mid program. It always restarts immediately I press OK. Especially bad with unexplained.
Another great feature would be direct tech help when tech problems arise.
