I get this message when I try to add the app to my list however the service is available in my country: Sweden. Could you add a ticket to resolve this? Thanks!
Thanks for report. I’ll let team know
@LaPalida which client app did this happen in. or does it happen in all of them? Did “HBO Max” change to “Max” in Sweden like it did in the US?
I have checked the Plex desktop app and there it is still called HBO Max and it redirects to the HBO web player (same as on the Plex website). The Android app also works similarly and opens the HBO app on the mobile.
I should mention that my Chromecast is actually purchased in France. I don’t know if that would or should make a difference though as all my other apps (ex. Netflix) that are region specific/locked work fine.
So it is
- not seeing that is it already installed
- searching for the app in the app store but for some reason the app store says it is not avail in your country.
is that correct?
- I can’t add it to my apps because it says it’s not available in my country so I am guessing that it is not installed.
- Correct
If you just search for HBO Max in the Google Play app store on the device does it show up? I mean do not click on the availability in Plex, just search in app store manually.
If the Google Play app store says it is not available I’m not sure what we can do about that.
I apologize, it looks like I confused the apps. It was the HBO app in Google Play that wasn’t showing up for me and had nothing to do with Plex. In Plex it is there. It was due to my Google account so please disregard I have since fixed that issue.
However I’m still having another issue with HBO in Plex. Not sure if I should open a new thread or continue this one so I will continue here. Basically if I go to “Discover” in Plex on Google Chrome and select a show that I’ve been watching on HBO I get this screen:
is that happening in all apps or just the TV app
Looks like just the TV app. Mobile, Web and Desktop all work by redirecting to the appropriate app or webpage but in the TV app I get this error.
