Had to reinstall Plex Media Server recently and, since then, it no longer recognises which of my 4K movies have HDR. However, direct playback is playing correctly with HDR triggering the appropriate setting on my TV.
I’m sure PMS used to have an HDR flag, but this appears to be missing. I’ve tried analysing the files, but I can’t seem to get PMS to detect HDR.
Are there any settings I need to be using to enable this?
On the individual movie page in the web browser, where it show something like “Video: 4K (HEVC) HDR”. My player would then pick this up and display an HDR tag in its movie preview page.

If your library is particularly large, it may take several days to go through all items. The extensive analysis requires each file to be read completely from start to finish.
Could you inspect the XML of a few more items?
Start with those which were added last to the library (or – if the library was simply pointed to an existing folder during its creation – pick the video files with the newest file date ).
See if you can find any items which now have requiredBitrates="... present in their XML.
Are there any?
Ah, sorry. It is indeed requiredBandwidths which I am after. The presence of this parameter tells us that the extended analysis has been performed.
Could you again provide the full XML please?
