HDR on MacOS not working

So HDR doesn’t work in the Mac app or Safari. According to this answer it has something to do with MPV, OpenGL, Apple etc etc.

Why is it then working on IINA for example which also uses MPV? Doesn’t tvOS and iOS also use MPV? Works there too.
