I’ve tried on the S, games / Netflix / BR / Amazon all fire my TV into HDR mode, but any videos I have on plex (1080 or 4k) don’t trigger the change of mode to HDR? Any ideas?
HDR is based on the content. For example, only certain games, movies on Netlfix, etc playback with HDR enabled. It is not everything. What kind of content are you trying to play?
@charlas Your content will need to be both Direct Playable (currently if we need to transcode it will output H264, which doesn’t have HDR support) and also needs to contain a specific type of HDR called HDR10. In that case the Xbox One should output HDR video.
All th content is x265 hdr10 based, but the tv never gets triggered into HDR mode, Netflix for example does, but it does it as the app launches, and is in HDR mode even if not playing HDR content.
Tried x265 / mp3 /aac / no audio too, nothing triggers a 10bit decode.
