I have a new LG 65" OLED TV model (OLED65C2PUA) that replaced my 2 year old 55"
I also have a Chromecast with Google TV that I bought when it came out in Sept 2020.
Run my own Plex server and have found that subtitles (which I need 100% of the time due to hearing impairment) are wonky at times on the CCWGTV - especially embedded ASS subs in an MKV file. But at times, even external SRT subs don’t work unless I reboot the dongle.
Can someone tell me whether it would make more sense to simply using the webOS Plex app and ditch the CCWGTV? I don’t ever seem to have issues with that app. Are there advantages to the CCWGTV over the LG webOS app?
