Help for debugging a metadata agent

Hello - wondering if anyone can point me towards some documentation on how to debug a metadata agent ?



I think what I’ve written fails even to compile, but all I see in the server logs is “Error reading from plugin”, then the server seems to revert to using com.plexapp.agents.none instead of the one I’ve written. What’s the best way to run it standalone so I can see the actual error ?

Have you checked the agent’s log file to see if it’s reporting any errors? It should be in “~/Library/Logs/PMS Plugin Logs”.
