Server Version#:1.21.3.4021
Player Version#: Version 4.52.1 (Plex Web)
My AppleTv (local network) stopped being able to access my server this morning midway through playing an episode.
I took the opportunity to update the Plex Server version, and that happened successfully.
However, after updating the Plex Server, Plex is still unable to find the server, despite the server (MyCloudEX2Ultra) otherwise being accessible and displaying the Plex Server as being on.
I’ve tried rebooting the MyCloudEX2Ultra and also switching the Plex App on the MyCloudEX2Ultra from On to Off, and then back to On again as well.
I’ve not had this issue before after updating the server or not being able to access it in general. Any advice?
Similar issue: did the update a few minutes ago, now cannot access server at all. When I manually restart it (Windows 10) then I see it in the taskbar for a few seconds and the it disappears. Cannot uninstall and roll back to previous version, Windows says it cannot open the installation package.
How did you update? I see your NAS is running firmware 5.x. You need to make sure you are running the OS5 version of PMS. From the downloads page, it’s this version.
How did you downgrade? Cloud OS5 specific? I can’t downgrade on Windows 10 (or I don’t know how) because I can’t uninstall the current, non-working version of Plex.
I had a copy of an old install file (last installed and working version) and chose to install that app but thats for a NAS install rather than Windows 10.
FYI, I found an uninstaller program that managed to removed Plex Media Server, then downloaded and installed a January version, all good now.
I’m going to be a little more conservative about updating my server going forward.
