Help with channels

Hi, sorry if this has been already discussed but I haven't found a threat regarding this issue I'm having. If there is a solution on the forums please point me to it.

Anyways, I'm running the latest plexconnect client available on github, ATV3 w/ fw 5.3, mac w/ mountain lion(10.8.4) and unblock us' dns; after updating to the last couple of plex connect versions on github, I can no longer see amazon, netflix or hulu's channel on my ATV, I don't care if they're not working right now but I would like to know if It was something I did wrong that's causing the channels not to show or if this was purposely done

 

ps: I'm referring to the channels on the plex server not the apps.

pps: In case I wasn't clear enough they used to show before ;-)

Also: Any Errormsg on your screen/in you logs might help us to give the correct answer.

Short version - my guess: Your named channels all use this RTMP stuff. It broke in PlexConnect, when we identified us correctly at the PMS. This however was neccessary to get some other channels to work... you can't have it all, can you?

Ok. We are working on it. Slowly. Sometimes there are more important things in live :-)

Actually, none of those channels are RTMP and, yes, not one of them really works in any client at the moment. I think your problem with them not appearing in Plexconnect is probably the channel compatibility issue discussed In the thread that Baa referenced above. Try selecting the PMS option “disable compatibility checking” in the advanced preferences and see what happens. This issue also has a pull request on github that should fix it once Baa stops enjoying real life :slight_smile:

@Baa I did see this threat, it's just that I didn't find an explanation to my problem (or didn't understand it :D ), sure they don't work but still doesn't explain why in my particular case they don't show. I mean, don't get my wrong, I love what you guys have done with this awesome project, it's not a deal breaker (this issue), I can live without these channels since at least two of them have native apps, I'm just curious as to why they show on others but not on mine, and please DO enjoy those better things in life lol

Lac I had same issue it’s compatibility check , worked for me could see bbc iplayer , then this fixed it.
