channels not available ?

hy folks and geeks,

 

after about 10 times reinstalling, tryouts for a unusual konfiguration and many cups of coffee...

i got this mysterios plex also running on a atv 3, naturally not jailbroken.

reasons for the unfulfilled cases i had are still unexpectable. right now i got the SAME versions, on the same way copied, nothing configured, same hardware, same place. onliest thing what is different is another path and another local drive on the same workstation having same rights running win7 prof in a win2k8-domain.

however it will be unexplained, but now i am still unlucky with a few things. 

 

-like many others i receive the information that the remote host has rejected an existing connection. but fortunally it seems this reacts without restarts and i do not care for a explantation, but anyway that is suspicious. tried to change from the google-dns to my local dns-server in network, trying the router itself makes no differences... but what ? 

 

- the few channels it has on the net... most of them seemed to be NOT working, have not such a function or are not stable. i got nearly everything i found tested on my pms. open the channels on the atv, they seems to be ready. as example the french channel canal plus:

i can see there are different directories. i.e. like cinema. open that shows me there should be e few movies. when i did press them it takes a little while (still short enough when there would be something) - finally: "plex-server has no content"  OR  "trailer not available".

 

when i try it through the web based pms itself: the same thing has a movie and it can be played. seems that the vitrtualizing of the brand new atv would not be able to do that ? receive such XML-failures, see log onby.

 

- still searching for some good channels, but where else are ressources? how about radio channels and if not would it be dramatical to have some own edited based on other unnecessary things, just put there somewhere the m3u-url in or anything else ?

 

-does anybody know some way for have actual live running tv from italy + germany on it? not the mediathek, i am thinking about the rai-package, canale 5 ... / rtl/pro7/rtl2...? sure i got cable-tv and there would be nothing easier than get the tv where teh atv runs connected, but if possibe i will choos a way to have everything on THIS tv just doing through the internet.

I guess, you missed to attach that log.

grrr... no i had it attached... right now i got a "clean" log because i am not always on this little apple thing. thank godness.

but i will tell you additional that i am having such other probs if i watch a movie from my own s it could be running about 20-40 min, then it gets stucked. waiting some times after minutes it will continue, sometimes it doesn t .

also something unecplained. t il now.

yes, i got it on level=high. but actual is the content of the log-file still poor... i try copy open file- there is now no point of discuss because the breaks do not appear as far i listen to radio stations, its more the movie part. mysterios thing is the NOT-appearance of such functions / contents, even they seems to be there and correct because on the pc they runs.

There are channels dedicated to special Plex clients - as they will not work on others. What channels are we talking about?

that seems to be differnet. some times also those which worked before. completely mysterios is for example the french "canal plus" :

like i already tried to explain. in the channel main entry are such subfolders. open for example the cinema selection. in there shows me also the atv apossible content of several movies. no matter which one i choose-> pressing the button on atv remote open a dialog shows a preview of it but the onliest switching button i have is a play-sign. so i press that and afetr a while of circeling - nothing appears, either a failure response: trailer is not available. or receive the message " not such a content"

SAME procedure doing at the pms-pc, in browser based pms, open this channel, open the subfolder cinema. pressing via mouse the same title  and teh same play-button i reached before through atv--> let the clip, the movie or whatever plays until the end.

so why ???

other channel, tried the srf, suisse television. everything NORMALLY works. but anyway without changes. no entry. no content, nothing is playing.

movies, no matter what kind or sourde which i have added to the media folder in pms- gets shown through atv, list everything. start them playing works. but unfortunally they gets stucked, stops or freeze, sometimes they go further, sometimes they don not.

connection is stable through cable cat 6, real transfre via gigabit about 9xx mb/s. same cable tried on a separate / other network possible device like notebook- works perfect.

also tried: fixed network settings, with/ without original dhcp, also switched off the main way to the DNS 1, the forest server in hirarchy of the win domain. no differences.

i saw by myself a system same atv running in a forest like mine- seemed work for perfect. hmm?
