Help with plugin

Polishing up for release
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if I could grab some help with some coding for my plugin. I used a quick and easy webstream plugin made by [member='flow'] that I found in [post='168035']this post[/post]. All I've done is add extra stations and the required graphics. There are allot more stations to be added and I'm thinking I might add an info box link to the bottom of the list about donating. Nothing too intrusive and of course it'll be optional to read it. There are just a few little things I'd like to double check before finishing up and submitting.

I've noticed that after running the plugin there is a bunch of empty folders sitting in the trash. They're HTTP cache folders so I think it might be happening when I was copying in an updated version of the plugin and PMS was dumping the old cache. Can someone please confirm this? It's not much of a problem; it's just untidy.

Also how do I set the plugin up to default to Info List view instead of List view? Each station has a subtitle that explains the genre so I'd like that to be visible in the menu.

Finally, if you're wondering why the backgrond image doesn't use the default name; I was having issues with it even when I loaded up Flow's original version. Both my Plex clients were not showing the background image. The file name and the python script all lined up fine, but I was just getting the default Plex background. Changing the file name and the links fixed the issue, weird. Still not happy with the title; a little more Photoshop and it'll be right.

Any thoughts or ideas for the plugin would be greatly accepted. Please bear in mind that this is pretty much as good as my coding gets :) HTTP scraping etc can be left up to some one else.

And to end: the relevant web radio station can be found [here](http://www.somafm.com).

EDIT: Attachment deleted while release permission is sought from SomaFM.

I’ve finished up the plugin to a standard I’m happy with. I’ll try to release it into the official app store or throw it at GitHub if need be. But there is a little more work to be done.

For some reason, if I try to use the AAC streams SomaFM offer no sound plays. Plex grabs the server from the PLS file correctly and buffers the stream. But there is just silence and no time counters increment on the now playing screen. I have both MP3 and AAC listed in the info.plist file. I have linked to the AAC streams the same way as the MP3 ones. Do I need to treat them differently for plex to know what to expect?

SomaFM’s name the PLS files in a very structured way, so adding a setting for stream bandwidth shouldn’t be too hard. What format and how many streams does vary over the different stations though.

I’m now having some issues with this plugin after upgrading to Laika:

[list=1][]Some audio streams play but many do not. I would like to migrate to the AAC format streams but as I wrote above I wasn’t able to get any audio from them in the previous version of Plex. Has this been fixed?[]The station’s picture now shows up twice in the background of the blurb. I’m guessing there is some changes to the skin layout and what entries are needed in the plug in now.[/list]

I did gain some interest in the plugin from SomaFM but they had issues with the lack of dynamic content and overall look. But I have not followed up with them lately and I’m posting the plugin here to ask for help with my coding. Any advice you can give me to make this Laika compatible will really help. I miss not having SomaFM through the house while cleaning up :).
